Michelle Howes

Michelle grew up in Norfolk, just a short walk from the sea. She now lives in the East Midlands with her husband and two teenage children.

When she’s not writing she works part time at her local primary school as a midday supervisor, and also at the local Academy as an invigilator.

Michelle has been writing since she was a child, creating and losing herself in stories. When she had her own children she decided to take her writing more seriously, and to make her dream of getting published a reality.

Her big break came when she attended the Winchester writer’s conference. A 121 appointment with Barry Cunningham led to her full manuscript being requested and Chicken House becoming the home fro her debut novel, Feed.

Feed was published in January 2014 by Chicken House.
